Small Business Due Diligence

(In depth reviews of software, hardware and services I'm considering purchasing as well as ocassional promotions and coupons you might want to know about as a small business owner.)

How to get the most out of this page: On this page, you'll find links to programs and services I'm currently evaluating, but haven't yet purchased. Many programs below also have promotional offerings with expiration dates. It is often because of these promotions, that I become aware of some of these shops, so if you're in the market for any online marketing or business tools, you may want to skim through the list to look for expiring promotion dates as well. I've listed promotions under the logo for quick browsing—hope it helps.

What this due diligence page is about: I wanted to provide a place for small business owners to peek under the hood of my process and what sort of tools are worth considering without the hype of affiliate marketing getting in the way of a true due diligence process. So, what follows will be a small but growing list of small business tools I'm thinking about purchasing but haven't yet bitten the bullet on. If that changes, however, and I do purchase the offering, I'll let you know why in the write-up, but I will keep it on this list just for continuity. At a later date, I'll review it as a customer, and place that review on my regular product reviews page.

So! This section will be slow in growing, but I hope it will be informative. Also, know that with some of these products, I may already be an affiliate even though I might only be investigating the use of the tool. In either case, you'll find that abundantly clear in the opening part of each review. Cool? Enjoy. And, here's to good business building!

Cheers, Doc

The product: WP Engine is a hosting platform that is home to many a familiar name in business including The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Pandora, Asana, Etsy… you get the idea… they kinda' know what they're doing.

In May of 2021, I'll be digging into WP Engine, doing my due diligence to see if now might be a good time to consider using them for one of my other website properties. As a result of the research, I'll share with you what I learn, who I think might be a good customer, and who might not yet be ready to sign on board.

WP Engine also runs an E-Commerce hosting platform, in addition to their Managed WordPress Hosting, Secure Hosting, and Managed Hosting Plus plans. I'll take a look at each of them, and break things down for you so you can make a good decision as you do your homework.

I imagine I'll wrap up this review around mid-May, or the first week of June as there is a lot to consider, and I'm pretty sure my review will be quite lengthy in order to cover their four plans. To be notified as to when it's ready, just sign up for my bi-weekly email reports list.

You can visit them in the meantime if you'd like as well. With my affiliate link that follows, you can also grab their current three month's free promotion on their annual shared eCommerce plan. This particular offer is valid for new customers purchasing any eCommerce Startup, Growth, or Scale plan, and not valid for existing customers, upgrades, or any other product purchase. The offer is also only good until June 30, 2021. Should you take the leap, the coupon should be applied to your shopping cart automatically. If it doesn't for some reason, simply add ECOMMWPE10 at checkout. Peace, Doc.
